SPARCS Campaign, Jesse Owens Playground, Brooklyn

As campaign designers for Jesse Owens Playground, Iris Collaborative developed a participatory approach that invited park users to directly contribute to the visual identity of the campaign. Through a hands-on art activity, multigenerational participants created textures using a variety of materials and techniques.

Our team then curated and transformed these textures into graphic elements for the campaign, combining the character of the park, community values, and artwork created by its users. The result was a visual language rooted in the people and place it was designed to represent.

A Flower for Every Mother - Laundromat Project

A community-based program developed with mothers in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, creating opportunities for reflection, connection, and peer exchange during the early stages of motherhood.

Each month, new mothers received a handwritten card featuring an original drawing and a message reflecting on the realities of motherhood. The program also brought mothers and children together through informal gatherings designed to create space for shared experiences, conversation, and connection.
